A New York City residential tenant telephoned his landlord seeking permission to renovate his kitchen at his own cost and expense. The landlord considered the request, saw dollars to be gained and suggested that his managing agent visit the tenant at the apartment to work out the details. The following day the managing agent visited. In the course of the conversation he slips in a piece of paper which contains the landlord’s consent but also a rent increase. Without reading the document, the tenant eager to begin work signed it.
That is what happened in Kyiv twice between President Zelensky and two of Trump’s agents. It also involved real estate, only an assault on its minerals. Of course there was significant fraud attempted as Trump’s papers estimated Ukraine’s debt to the United States to be 500 billion dollars while the actual aid amounted to little more than 100 billion. Additionally, this aid was not a loan, rather as a contribution to the defense of Ukraine, Europe and America appropriated by Congress. But that’s clouding the issues with facts.
President Zelensky was astute enough not to sign the document. Still it was a lesson learned. Even if Ukrainian intelligence had not warned President Zelensky, this one experience would have opened the eyes of the Ukrainian president as to Donald Trump and contemporary America. President Zelensky did have an eye opening experience with Trump as America’s president in 2019. This is the modus operandi of Donald Trump, the sleazeball Landlord and the equally defrauding President of the United States. How shameful is that!
In my previous article I called for revolution against Donald Trump and his accomplices. After the subsequent confirmation of the new FBI director ignominious Kash Patel, my wife warned me that the FBI would be coming to our house. I joked that I needed to check our liquor stock. She was not amused.
To add to my un-American transgressions, I recently viewed the hockey tournament of four countries where the final game was Canada against the United States held in Boston. I was ambivalent until I heard American spectators booing the Canadian national anthem which together with Trump calling Canada the 51st state, turned me against America. I rooted for Canada. Canada won 3-2.
Most recently with the final outcome to be determined America at the UN is opposing the Ukraine-Europe draft resolution commemorating three years of the full scale war, condemning Russia and insisting on its full withdrawal. America is insisting on its draft which would whitewash blame.
There are moments of Trump’s pure evil exhibitions elaborating on “squeezing” Ukraine. One has to wonder whether the 25th Amendment should be invoked but that would require the action of an equally depraved Vice President.
And then there is Trump’s current accomplice in crime Elon Musk threatening the removal of Starlink, unless Ukraine accedes to the mineral steal.
There is a serious problem in diplomacy when the adage about keeping your friends close and your friends closer is applicable in a perverted form. Today’s Ukraine-America relations are blurred. America may no longer be Ukraine’s ally. Time and events will tell.
However, there is no doubt that Trump is one of Ukraine’s enemies. Before the final verdict on Ukraine-America relations is in, all efforts must be focused on removing the convicted felon and sleazeball from the White House. So the revolution must proceed.
