The LUC Library houses a collection of 10,000 Ukrainian-language books and journals, as well as a smaller but unique collection of English-language books and research materials. Topics are about Ukrainians and Ukraine, ranging from the history of Ukrainians in Canada to the politics, religion, literature, art and culture of Ukrainians in Ukraine.

The purpose of the LUC Library is to serve the needs of the League of Ukrainian Canadians, the League of Ukrainian Canadian Women and associated organizations, as well as the informational and research needs of the Ukrainian community in Canada, and elsewhere.

The LUC Library is also open to the educational and research needs of all interested parties, including academic institutions and other libraries, students, researchers, journalists and the public at large.

The LUC Library houses some of the same books as any library that has a direct link to the Library of Congress, including the libraries at the University of Toronto and Harvard University. Thus, if a particular publication is unavailable at these libraries, it may be available at our library. For further information, please contact the LUC Library at (416)-516-8223.

Dear reader, in searching Ukrainian books, please keep in mind that our search engine supports English fonts only. Therefore, incorrect transliteration of names of Ukrainian books will not yield any results.
